Target Audience

Using the influences as a guide, I can start to establish the target audience of my production.
The film Twilight - New Moon is aimed at mainly females, aged from about 15-30 which is quite a wide target audience. There are several genres this film could be classed as, I have found that it is normally under drama, fantasy, romance or horror; we aim to include aspects of horror and drama in our production. Gothika is another film that has inspired my production, many of our initial ideas were adapted from this particular film, it includes expression of horror, thriller and mystery, the idea of mystery plays a large role in our storyline. Although Gothika is not just aimed at females, the main characters are all female, likewise with our production. The target age is also about 15-30. Based on this, i think my group's production will be aimed mainly but not entirely at females, and also aged 15-30 as with the films that have influenced it.
